Thailand is one of my favourite countries in South East Asia to travel around – the culture, the cuisine and the organised chaos all combine to make one of the most popular spots for a range of backpackers and travellers from all over the globe – from the party island of South Thailand to the wild jungle of North Thailand.. I must admit though that I tend to spend much more time in spots. The Thaiger is a deep resource for people looking for news, information, properties, lifestyle and travel articles about Thailand and our nearby region. Daily news is short, to the point, sourced originally and easy to find and read.

A Map Illustration for the tourist pocket book "A TWIST OF THAILAND" own by tch the cover illustration and Two big map of the . Thailand's third largest island (after Phuket and Ko Samui) caught Thai ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra's eye, and large development projects have poured in despite the island's national park status. At least with its larger size and more rugged terrain, it can absorb a degree of development better than some of the smaller islands, but for only so long.

Northern Thailand's beautiful, rugged geography is the region's great temptation. Hidden among the forested mountains are Thailand's most iconic waterfalls and caves, as well as whitewater rapids and jungle trails. The area is a playground for outdoor pursuits – hiking, rafting, kayaking and caving opportunities abound. Thailand holidays World view: close to nirvana in north-east Thailand A Buddha reclines in Wat Pa Phu Kon, an enormous recently built temple in Thailand’s Udon Thani province.
